MARINE SURVEY
Marine surveying is a specialised field that requires vast knowledge of the latest safety regulations and construction techniques. Before purchasing a vessel it is highly recommended that you engage the services of a qualified surveyor to assess its condition. It is the role of the surveyor to protect your interests by performing a thorough inspection and give an unbiased report on the vessels state, seaworthiness and if required current market value.

Our team of experienced surveyors are able to provide assistance in the following areas:

Pre-purchase Survey
  • Information included in this report may be used when negotiating the purchase price or pre-purchase repairs or for developing a maintenance plan

Damage Survey and Inspection
  • This survey and subsequent report may be used by insurance companies from an assessment perspective or by boatowners

Insurance Condition Survey
  • Insurance companies usually require a condition survey and valuation before they will insure a boat for a new owner. They also insist on periodic surveys for older craft.
Valuation Survey
  • If you need your boat valued for insurance, legal, or financial reasons

All AEGIR Marine Surveyors adhere to the International Institute of Marine Surveyors Code of Conduct and Small Craft Code of Practice.
