AEGIR Marine is a certified Australian Veteran Owned Business and was founded in 2014 by two directors with in excess of 50 years of seagoing experience in small craft from 6 metres to commercial shipping in excess of 176 metres.
AEGIR Marine “in house” staff have extensive experience in ship operations, seamanship, cargo handling, shipboard emergency management including firefighting, survival & safety equipment audit and maintenance; and medical support in a maritime environment.
All AEGIR Marine surveyors hold a minimum of a Diploma in Marine Survey with a variety of other qualifications covering their respective specialties.
AEGIR Marine has access to an extraordinary consultancy talent pool of marine engineers, electronic and electrical technicians and other specialist professionals to support all of AEGIR Marine’s operations.
AEGIR Marine Investigations division is able to provide both insurance companies and private individuals a comprehensive factual investigations service covering marine safety incidents, loss, injury and damage. AEGIR Marine investigators have a substantial fraud investigative capability.
AEGIR Marine’s “in house” staff participate in regular conferences and training ensuring all knowledge and methodologies are current and relevant. AEGIR Marine “in house” staff hold memberships with the International Institute of Marine Surveying (IIMS) and the International Association of Marine Investigators (IAMI).
